According to the National Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy:

  • Two-thirds of teens who have sex wish they had waited to lose their virginity.

  • 85% of teens believe that sex should only happen in a long-term, committed relationship.

  • About half of teens believe that it's ok to be in a relationship with someone three years or older...even though research shows that the majority of relationships like this include sex.

  • Six out of ten teens believe that girls get the message that "looking sexy" is the most important thing they can do. And boys? They get the message that they are expected to have sex.

  • As a teen, you spend almost 50 hours per week with some form of media - be it TV, your iPod, on the web, etc. But over 75% of you wish the media spent more time dealing with the realities of sex - pregnancy, ruined relationships, STDs, and the like.
